The Software Lab in India develops, enhances and supports key IBM Software products & technologies in collaboration with other IBM labs world wide.

The functionality of the board room consists of Data & Video Presentation, Video & Audio Conference. This room consists of several Pop up receptacles for Participants to connect their laptops and have them displayed on the large Rear Projection screens.

A 3CD camera’s is mounted in between the large screens which transmit the images to the far end with Video Conferencing. Participants could also use audio conference facility which consists of discretely table mounted microphones and ceiling mounted speakers. Participants could dial the numbers for audio video conference from a wireless color touch panel. The touch panel could also be used for navigating the various function of a room such as blind’s and lighting control.

The display consists of (2) 85 inches diagonal rear projection acrylic screens. A 3000 ANSI lumens projector is mounted on a 6 axis table for this Rear Projection. The audio sources are from (11) boundary microphones mounted on the conference table and a wireless lavaliere microphone is also used in this room from a presenter. Auto digital mixer are used for precise audio and video conference. Audio from the far end is routed through a 2 channel amplifiers and subsequently delivered on the (8) ceiling mounted semi invisible sound advanced speakers. The digital mixer is precisely calibrated to avoid echo and feed back. Data and Video signals are switched using a wide band cross matrix switcher. The entire sets of equipments are controlled from a Micro processor through a 12inch color wireless touch panel. For example a participants can press the video conferencing icon and immediately the blind’s would role down, the camera would position itself to capture the audience and the lighting level‘s would adjust to the best condition to give a clear picture to the far end viewer.
